Primary Responsibilities
Business Development
Create and implement an annual franchise sales plan that aims to exceed development goals.
Collaborate with the marketing team to integrate marketing and sales strategies effectively.
Manage the entire lifecycle of franchise sales, from initial contact to finalizing agreements, demonstrating a proactive approach in identifying and engaging potential franchisees.
Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective franchise partners, acting as a trusted advisor and educating them about our brand and business model.
Oversee the sales process, including managing communications, organizing Discovery Days, and executing all necessary documentation.
Foster partnerships with franchise brokers, ensuring compliance with FTC regulations and maintaining smooth operations throughout the sales process.
Maintain a robust CRM system to track communications and sales activity, refining the sales funnel as needed.
Plan and manage participation in industry events to attract new franchise partners, handling all logistics effectively.
Franchisee Relationships
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing franchise partners to ensure development milestones are met.
Act as a liaison between corporate and franchisees during the development and pre-opening phases, addressing concerns and facilitating communication.
Ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new franchisees, providing support and resources to set them up for success.
Regularly check in with pre-opening franchisees to offer assistance and connect them with the right resources.
Collaborate with the marketing team to identify and fulfill pre-opening marketing needs.
Utilize analytics tools for strategic market development and site selection.
Leadership and Administration
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, guides, and processes that support department growth.
Ensure effective use of Franconnect throughout the prospecting and pre-opening stages.
Create and manage the annual franchise development budget, focusing on maximizing ROI and adhering to financial policies.
Lead the annual FDD renewal and registration processes in collaboration with internal teams and external legal counsel.
Stay informed about industry trends and standards through active participation in key industry memberships.
Design a strategic hiring plan aligned with sales targets to ensure the team can meet growth demands.
Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in franchise sales, business development, or related fields.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets, including closing a minimum of 6 deals in the past year.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field (additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
Strong understanding of the franchise industry, including laws, regulations, and best practices.
Excellent financial acumen with the ability to interpret financial statements.
Familiarity with Franconnect and experience in working with high-net-worth investors is preferred.
A relationship-driven achiever with strong interpersonal skills, who thrives in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and equipped with strong problem-solving and time management skills.
Willingness to travel occasionally (less than 25%).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word) and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail).
Authorized to work in the United States and able to pass a criminal background check.
Compensation & Benefits
This position offers a generous commission structure that can increase total compensation to over $150,000 with no cap. The base salary ranges from $70,000 to $85,000, based on qualifications and experience.
