Job Description

Description: Sapient Logic is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager/Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, and business development, and a deep understanding of the Department of Defense (DoD) market. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills, the ability to manage complex projects, and a proven track record of securing new business opportunities. Responsibilities: Project Management: Lead and manage multiple IT/software development projects from inception to completion. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including project performers and stakeholders, to ensure project objectives are met. Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with DoD standards and regulations. Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the DoD industry. Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in the DoD and related government agencies. Prepare and present proposals, capability statements, and presentations to potential clients. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities. Build teaming relationships with other companies in the DoD industry. Collaborate with internal teams to develop strategic business plans and marketing strategies. Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met. Conduct regular meetings with clients to provide project updates and gather feedback. Address and resolve any client issues or concerns promptly and professionally. Compliance and Reporting: Ensure all projects comply with relevant DoD regulations and standards. Prepare and submit required documentation and reports to clients and regulatory bodies. Maintain accurate and up-to-date project records and documentation. Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, IT, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus. PMP or similar project management certification is highly desirable. Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management and business development within the DoD or government contracting space, or a minimum of 10 years as a federal civilian employee with technical and project management experience. Strong understanding of DoD acquisition processes, regulations, and standards. Proven track record of successfully managing complex IT/software development projects. Demonstrated ability to secure new business opportunities and build strong client relationships. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. US Citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
