Position Description

The Special Education Teacher will play a vital role in supporting students with disabilities by creating and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs). You will provide specialized instruction tailored to students’ unique learning needs while collaborating with general education teachers to ensure a cohesive learning experience. The position involves assessing student progress, adapting instructional activities, and managing student behavior to maintain a positive and effective classroom environment. Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities
  • Provide specialized instruction to meet diverse learning needs
  • Collaborate with general education teachers for program alignment
  • Assess and evaluate student achievement regularly
  • Modify instructional strategies based on student progress
  • Manage student behavior effectively and implement positive support plans
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for IEPs and progress reports
