Title: Staff Technical Writer
Location: Austin, TX
Duration: 12 months contract
JOB DUTIES:
Coordinate, develop, and deliver internal and external engineering documentation to support multiple client products and programs. Writes, proofreads, formats, and edits technical content deliverables can include microarchitecture specifications, databooks, white papers, application notes, schematics, conceptual graphics, product briefs, errata, technical presentations, online content, and other deliverables as required.
Ensures content complies with client guidelines and company publishing and legal standards.
Confers with senior technical staff to ensure content accuracy and to identify and resolve questions or contradictions. Works with core teams to coordinate and manage technical reviews; Coordinates legal reviews
Publishes final deliverables in accordance with the project requirements and client corporate processes.
Timely and concise communication of project status to upline management.
Completes deliverables as scheduled by program management. Works with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUATION:
Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience, or Masters with 2+ years of experience as a technical writer supporting the semiconductor industry, HPP RTL experience preferred;
Excellent writing, editing, communication, and organizational skills;
Experience working with geographically distributed engineering teams;
Experience with Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Microsoft Visio, Confluence Draw; Strong understanding of engineering terminology used within the semiconductor industry, RTL data fabric abstraction preferred; Strong understanding of x86-based computer systems and components;
Proven interpersonal skills and teamwork;
Experience using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Excel, OneDrive, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Confluence Cloud, Confluence Cloud Editor, Confluence Draw.IO, JIRA, and CoPilot. Ability to work with scripting languages for Microsoft Word such as VBA for Word or Python VBA preferred.
