Job Description Major Duties and Responsibilities - A Customs Brokerage Agent will be expected to ensure timely and accurate operations while providing exceptional customer service within the Brokerage Department.
- Ensure a smooth and timely customs process flow for all customs related activities
- Daily execution of workflow and department metrics
- Transfer declaration information from commercial documents, or other sources into our customs entry system
- Accurate and timely data entry to allow for the build of a complete US Customs declaration
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the customers and government organizations
- Ensure compliance to regulations at all times, both internal and external
- Track and Trace shipments for valid data transmission to US customs and Partner Government Agencies
- Understand customer expectation to ensure all the elements of the SOP and KPI's are met
- Identify and manage exceptions while also identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
- Effectively manage and organize emails for timely follow up
Qualifications - Customer Service: 6 months to 1 year experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Understanding of transportation documentation and terms is a plus
- Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results
- Pro-active, strong organizational skills
- Strong desire to learn
- Good computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Fluent in English
- College degree

Additional Information Expected pay range for this position: $22.00-$25.00 per hour.
